HyExpert hydrogen region
Southeast Lower Saxony has been designated a HyExpert hydrogen region by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI).
The administrative district of Helmstedt, as the responsible regional authority, submitted the application, which was prepared jointly with the SüdOstNiedersachsen project office, to the BMVI at the end of June. The cities of Braunschweig, Wolfsburg and Salzgitter, as well as the districts of Goslar, Gifhorn, Peine and Wolfenbüttel are also participating. This funding is to be used for the development of a regional umbrella brand, the establishment of regional value chains, and a regional hydrogen filling-station concept for rail and road.
